We enjoyed carrying out experiments for our Forced Into Energy topic! We investigated air, water and surface resistance! As you can see, it was lots of fun.
This week we took part in ABL based on 2D & 3D shape. We got to visit the different stations and complete a range of activities to help us develop our understanding of the shapes and their properties. We especially enjoyed the construction and Blue Bot stations!
For our Year 4 and 5 Music Maestros event this week, we had to learn and perform two songs from our upcoming school production Mary Poppins! In addition, we had to perform our own composition. We chose a poem on Forces and included musical accompaniments using a range of instruments. Mrs Heasley said she loved our singing and that we were very enthusiastic. Mrs Murphy was very proud of us!!
In class recently, we developed our estimation and measuring skills. We did this by using the interactive whiteboard as well as the metre rulers, tape measures and trundle wheels. We love it when our estimations are accurate!
We were really sad when it was time for Mr Stewart to return to university! We loved having him in our class. He helped us to learn lots of things and we enjoyed his lessons. On his last day, we threw a surprise party for him to thank him for all of his hard work. We really miss him already!
Thank you very much to our wonderful PTA for the fun Easter events organised for us during the last week of term. We loved taking part!
In Seaview, our Bank Holiday Monday for St. Patrick’s Day was spent “going green!” Family members were invited into classrooms at 11am to take part in an eco activity with the pupils. In Year Four we decorated mini plant pots with coloured card to create a mosaic effect. We then planted some French Marigold seeds. We got to take the pots home where we’ve promised to water the seeds and watch them grow. We loved Eco Day!!
We are extra proud of these members of our class because of their recent sporting successes! They have been awarded certificates and medals to recognise their hard work and fantastic efforts! Very well done. Keep it up!
